Rottweilers are used as therapy and service dogs. They live between 9 and 13 years. The Rottweiler breed has a rich history. They were originally used as cattle dogs in the town of Rottweiler, Germany.
Rottweilers prefer yard space, so they can run and exercise. However, a rottweiler can do just as well if walked regularly. Owners who are not willing to walk their dog regularly and don't have any yard space should not choose a Rottweiler.
